Looking for something COOL to do this weekend? On Friday and Saturday October 24 and 25, COOL SCIENCE and their fantastic demos will be stationed at the top of Mountaineer Sky Ride during Boo at the Zoo from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
A traveling Science show, COOL SCIENCE gets people engaged in exciting hands-on activities and workshops designed to provide intimidation-free opportunities to explore the joy of science and engineering. You won’t want to miss their special treat at the top of Mountaineer Sky Ride. It will be frightfully fun!

Is there a discount for military members at this event? Also, will it be toddler friendly (not too scary)?
I am very excited about the new format of the zoo's website and especially this blog. I have a 6year old future zookeeper and we are looking forward to going to the Boo at the Zoo this weekend!

We enjoy the CM zoo very much. I think it would be exciting to see the zoo and the view from the Mountaineer Sky Ride.
I'm wondering if the sky ride is a good idea for elderly people. Also, will the temperature change drastically?

The Mountaineer Sky Ride offers a relaxing, chair lift style ride with spectacular views. It is a wonderful experience for any rider. It is generally colder up on the mountain and at the Zoo than in town so dress warmly for your Zoo visit. The temperature may change a few degrees, but riders will not experience a drastic change in temp from the base to the summit. The summit is often protected from the wind, so sometimes it is warmer there than on Zoo grounds. Enjoy your visit!
