The mountain lion exhibit we have is a specially designed space that, at first glance, might seem to be small for our four cougars. But what isn’t at first apparent is the cubic volume of the exhibit – which is 4X more space than they had in the old exhibit. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It was designed for a lot of up and down mobility, which the mountain lions love and is a natural situation for them in the wild. Up the cliffs and down the cliffs. So, just as their wild cousins have, our lions have the opportunity to climb and leap, rest and sleep on sunny shelves and cliffs, and look down on Zoo visitors. This space also works well for them because they are litter-mates and get along so well.
